We are seeking a passionate and talented Worship Leader to guide our congregation musically in meaningful and inclusive worship experiences.

Position Summary:

The Worship Leader will be responsible for planning and leading music for our weekly gatherings, with a strong focus on justice, inclusion, and building a sense of family within the congregation. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of progressive Christian theology and a passion for creating worship experiences that engage and inspire our diverse community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Music Selection: Choose and arrange music that reflects the progressive Christian message and speaks to the hearts of our congregation. Incorporate a variety of musical styles and genres to create a diverse worship experience.
• Leading: Lead and guide the congregation musically during weekly gatherings and special events, including providing vocal and instrumental leadership.
• Values: Support of vision to create a just world where ALL are included in the family of God, one sacred place at a time.
• Tech and Media: Coordinate with the tech team to ensure that audio, visual, and multimedia elements enhance the weekly gathering.

Qualifications:

• Strong commitment to progressive Christian theology and the values of justice, inclusion, and family.
• Demonstrated experience as a worship leader, musician, or vocalist in a church or spiritual community setting.
• Proficiency in playing musical instruments (e.g., guitar, piano, keyboard) and vocal performance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to engage and connect with people of all ages and backgrounds.
• Creative and innovative approach to worship planning and execution.

Compensation:

This is a part-time position with competitive compensation, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
